These terms govern your use of Barcode Pro at barcode.fitinview.com, operated by FitInView, Switzerland (support@fitinview.com). By using the site you agree to them.
The service
Barcode Pro lets you design styled 1D barcodes (EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A, Code 128, Code 39, ITF-14) and QR codes in the browser and export them as SVG or PNG. A live decoder checks each preview. We provide the design tool only. We do not issue GS1 company prefixes or GTINs; if you sell through retailers you must obtain valid numbers from GS1 or your distributor.
Free and paid access
The service is currently free while in open beta. We may reintroduce paid access for downloads at any time. When paid access is active, the following applies:
- The 7-day pass is a one-time purchase and unlocks downloads for 7 days from payment.
- The Pro subscription renews monthly until you cancel. Cancel at any time from the Stripe customer portal linked in your receipt; access continues until the end of the paid period and is not renewed.
- Prices are shown in US dollars and include any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise at checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe.
- Refunds: if the service did not work for you, email us within 14 days of payment and we will refund the charge. Beyond that, refunds are at our discretion.
Your output
You own the barcodes you create and may use them commercially without attribution. We claim no rights over your values, images or exports. You are responsible for the content you encode and upload; do not upload material you have no right to use, and do not use the tool for anything unlawful.
Verify before you print
The on-page scan check uses a software decoder on a rendered image. It is a strong indicator, not a guarantee. Printing substrate, ink spread, size, lighting and scanner hardware all affect readability. Always test a physical print with the scanners your customers or distributors actually use before a production run. Styled or shaped barcodes may be rejected by some retailers' artwork guidelines; check with them first.
Acceptable use
- No automated bulk use of the API, scraping, or attempts to bypass rate limits or access controls.
- No uploading of malware, illegal content, or content that infringes third-party rights.
- We may suspend access that harms the service or other users.
Availability and changes
The service is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. We may change, pause or discontinue features at any time. We try to keep the site up but do not promise uninterrupted availability.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including lost sales, reprinting costs or retailer chargebacks arising from a barcode that did not scan. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for intent or gross negligence.

Law and venue
Swiss law applies, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. Courts at our Swiss domicile have jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer-protection rules in your country of residence.
